J. Michael Morrissey, M.D.

J. Michael Morrissey M.D. was born in Kensington, CT and attended local schools graduating with honors. He then graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. and earned his medical degree at the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.

J. Michael Morrissey M.D. began his surgical training as an intern in General Surgery at Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Dallas, TX, before entering the United States Air Force. He served three years as a Captain and Flight Surgeon with the 20th Bomb Squadron at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana.

After completing his active duty military service, J. Michael Morrissey M.D. returned to Dallas and Methodist Dallas Medical Center to complete his training in General Surgery. After completion of his General Surgery training, J. Michael Morrissey M.D. went on to continue specialized training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin. He also completed additional training in Aesthetic Surgery in Miami and San Francisco.

J. Michael Morrissey M.D. is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery to perform cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, neck, trunk and extremities. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons and American Medical Association. J. Michael Morrissey M.D. remains current with the latest techniques in plastic and cosmetic surgery by regularly attending medical seminars, workshops, and conferences.
