Nicholas Walker, M.D.
Originally from South Louisiana, Dr. Walker grew up the oldest of four boys in a household with deep rooted Southern values of respect, faith, and hospitality. He was always encouraged to work hard in school, which eventually led him to graduate with Honors from Nicholls State University with a major in Biology and Chemistry.Â
After completing his undergraduate training, Dr. Walker began his medical training at Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans. While in medical school, Dr. Walker was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in his junior year and graduated at the top of his class. For the first three years of medical school, he planned to practice Heart Surgery. However, by a chance event he was asked to assist in a breast reconstruction. The process of taking someone who had an important part of them missing, in this case a patient who had mastectomies for breast cancer, and making them feel whole again was a moving and life altering experience. After delving into the breadth of Plastic Surgery and how much good he could provide with this profession, Dr. Walker never looked back.Â
With deep rooted family values, Dr. Walker desired to practice in a strong community environment, and North Texas was a perfect fit. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing guitar and piano.
His passion for his career along with the satisfaction that comes from the smiling faces of satisfied patients is the driving force for his motivation to be a lifelong student of Plastic Surgery.
